Building Churches. Changing Lives.

Storehouse Church, Pennsylvania

Storehouse Church is a Free Methodist congregation in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, whose ministry foundation has been strenthened by the purchase and remodeling of a permanent facility. Storehouse now has a home base to focus, grow and multiply.  The facility is active seven days a week.  The church is blessed with a preschool that serves about 150 children each week, and hosts a Christian Counseling Center. In addition, the church now offers important ministries including Celebrate Recovery, Marriage Enrichment, and one-on-one mentoring and discipleship.  Storehouse is focusing efforts on multiplying the church by starting new worship gatherings in the region.  Acquiring the facility has enabled us to become a home base for an expanding ministry.

The loan from The Free Methodist Investment and Loan Fund enabled us to purchase our first permanent facility.  Storehouse Church started in 2001 with its first meeting in a local community center.  We quickly outgrew that location and moved to an elementary school. We loaded all of our gear in a truck and met in the school’s “gym-natorium.”  The elementary school served us well, but after a few years we needed a new home.  From there we ‘graduated’ to the local Middle School Auditorium where we continued to grow.  Over the years, it became increasingly clear that utilizing rented facilities was a limiting factor in our continued outreach and ministry.  With the help of The Free Methodist Investment and Loan Fund, and the sacrificial giving of our church family, God opened the doors to purchase an existing church nestled in 8 acres right in the heart of our town.

God is touching lives at our church on a regular basis.  This month we held baptisms during our worship services.  Prior to the baptisms we ask each person to share their personal testimony.  There was not a dry eye in the house as stories were shared of overcoming addiction, healing in the midst of broken marriages, and finding fresh hope through Jesus. God is at work and there is a difference being made in the lives of individuals.
